Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), formerly known as Thapar University, was established in 1956 by industrialist Karam Chand Thapar in Patiala, Punjab. Over the decades, it has grown into one of India’s most respected private engineering institutions, recognized for its academic excellence, research output, and industry collaborations. Accredited with NAAC A++ and approved by AICTE, TIET is consistently ranked among the top 30 engineering colleges in India.
