A total of 11,403 indicative vacancies have been announced under CRP CSA-XVI. Vacancies are distributed across different States and Union Territories and include category-wise allocations. The final number may change depending on the vacancies reported by participating banks.

Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
The graduation result must have been declared by 21 August 2026. Candidates must also provide their graduation percentage while completing the application.
The age limit is 20 to 28 years as on 1 August 2026. Candidates should have been born between 2 August 1998 and 1 August 2006, both dates inclusive.

Candidates must have working knowledge of computers. This can be supported through a certificate, diploma or degree in computer operations or by studying Computer/Information Technology as a subject.
Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand the specified or opted local language of the State/UT selected in the application.
Candidates who have studied the required local language up to Class 10 or above can generally use their marksheet or certificate as proof instead of appearing for a separate language test.
Candidates must pay the application fee while submitting the IBPS Clerk application form. The fee varies based on the candidate’s category and is non-refundable.

The IBPS Clerk exam has two online examination stages: Prelims and Mains. Prelims is used to shortlist candidates for Mains, while the Main examination marks are considered for final merit. There is no interview for the post.

Each section has a separate time limit. Candidates must qualify the required sectional and overall cut-offs to move to the Main examination.
