Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) – Brief Explanation

The EMPA at ANU is an advanced postgraduate program designed for current and emerging public-sector leaders. It focuses on developing skills in:

Public policy and administration
Leadership and management
Strategic decision-making
Practical public-sector challenges

The program consists of 11 subjects, combining core courses taught through ANZSOG with electives from participating universities.

Important: This is not a normal direct-entry ANU program. Students must be nominated and funded by participating governments in Australia or New Zealand and then go through the relevant university selection process. Therefore, individual students cannot directly apply to ANU for the EMPA.
