Fees (2026-27 Session)

Fees are categorized by campus tier (Noida/Hyderabad/Chennai vs. Regional).

One-time charges (Registration and Security Deposit) are included in the first-semester fee.

Admission Process & Eligibility

The admission cycle typically commences in December and concludes by July.

1. Application: Candidates must register online via the FDDI admission portal and pay the application fee (approx. ₹600).
2. Entrance Exam (AIST): A computer-based test assessing Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, General Awareness, and Design Sensitivity.
3. Counseling: Merit-listed candidates are called for counseling to choose their campus and specialization.
4. Registration: Final seat booking is confirmed after document verification and payment of the first-semester fee.

• B.Des/BBA: Passed 10+2 from any recognized board. Age limit is usually 25 years as of July 1st.
• M.Des/MBA: Graduation in any discipline. No age limit for PG programs.

Cutoff & Admission Trends

Admission to FDDI is conducted through the All India Selection Test (AIST). For the 2026 session, the institute has observed a steady rise in competition for specialized design programs.

• AIST Rank: Admission is strictly merit-based. For the Noida campus (B.Des Footwear/Fashion), candidates generally need to rank within the Top 500 globally in the AIST.
• Selection Trends: While Footwear Design remains the flagship, the Fashion Design and BBA in Retail programs have seen a 15% increase in applicant volume over the last two years.
• Counseling: Seats are allotted through a centralized counseling process based on the rank obtained in AIST, with preference given to campus choices made by the student.
