Fees

Beyond tuition, the university provides residential facilities with hostel fees ranging from 2.01 Lakhs to 2.77 Lakhs annually, depending on the occupancy type.

Admission Process & Eligibility

The admission framework is designed to evaluate both academic merit and individual aptitude. The university conducts admissions in two primary phases: the Early Admission Drive (EAD) for Class 12 appearing students, and the Regular Admission Drive (RAD) for those applying post-results.

1. Step 1: Application: Candidates must submit an online application via the NU portal, paying a non-refundable application fee of INR 1,500.
2. Step 2: Entrance Examination: Applicants must submit valid scores from national-level tests (JEE Main, BITSAT, SAT, CUET, NEET, CAT, etc.). Candidates without valid national scores, or those wishing to improve their chances, must appear for the online NUAT.
3. Step 3: Personal Interaction (PI): Shortlisted candidates undergo a Student Personal Interaction (PI) round with a faculty panel. This may also include a questionnaire and a parent interaction session.
4. Step 4: Final Selection: Admission offers are made based on a composite evaluation of Class 10 and 12 marks, entrance test performance, and the PI round.

Eligibility Criteria:

• B.Tech: 10+2 with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. Must have English and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (or Biology for Biotechnology).
• BBA & Integrated MBA: 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and English as a mandatory subject.
• MBA / M.Tech / PG Diploma: A recognized Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks.

Scholarship Programs & Details

NIIT University operates under a merit-driven philosophy, offering several financial aid schemes to support and encourage high-achieving applicants.

• NU Scholar Search Programme: Offers scholarships based on academic performance in Class 10 and 12 or national exams (JEE Main, CUET, SAT, NEET, BITSAT). Benefits range from MS-3 (INR 50,000) up to MS-1 (INR 2,00,000) annually.
• Special Scholarship: Exceptional merit holders (e.g., top State Board rankers, BITSAT 300+, or highly placed in CUET/JEE) receive a Full Tuition Fee Waiver, provided they maintain an AGPA/CGPA of 7.5.
• Scholarship for Co-Curricular Excellence (CoX): Students demonstrating excellence in sports, music, fine arts, theatre, or social service at the state, national, or international level receive INR 25,000 per year.
• Women in STEAM Scholarship: All female applicants receive an annual amount of INR 15,000, which is stackable with other merit or co-curricular scholarships.
• Special Fee Waiver: INR 15,000 to INR 25,000 annual waivers for wards of Armed Forces personnel, SC/ST/OBC categories, siblings of current students/alumni, children of NIIT employees, and Rajasthan-domiciled students.

Cutoff & Admission Trends

NIIT University does not operate on a traditional opening-and-closing rank system for all its seats; instead, it relies heavily on aptitude evaluation and personal interaction. All admissions are strictly merit-based, and there is no management quota.

• Exams Accepted: JEE Main, BITSAT, SAT India, CUET UG/PG, NEET, IPMAT, CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, and the university's own NIIT University Aptitude Test (NUAT).
• B.Tech CUET Cutoff Trends: The expected cutoff scores for CUET UG generally fall within the 150–200 range for Computer Science and Engineering. Other specialized branches like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cyber Security typically require scores between 145–195.
• Integrated MBA CUET Cutoff Trends: For specializations such as Business Analytics and Information Systems, the competitive score range generally hovers between 140–190.
• NUAT Expectations: The NUAT is highly recommended even for students with national-level scores (the better of the two scores is considered). It evaluates Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Techniques, and English Comprehension.
